Long Time No Blog!

Well, it's been quite a while since I have blogged. Not really much going on here. Alot has happened since last blog. Macy spent 3 days at Childrens on EEG. Nothing found. Very disappointing. Now the neurologists will not see her again.
Jade had scarlet fever.
Macy had a birthday (can't remember if i blogged about that or not.)
I'm out of school this semester. Waiting on the magic acceptance letter from college about nursing school. So ready to have that behind me.
People have had babies. Not me. I miss mine being babies.
Allen lost his job. That sucked. Alot.
Macy is getting over strep throat. She is also starting to talk more. She is a funny little girl.
Jade started first grade. She likes it. Alot. But she doesn't like to do the work.
I took the girls and Allen to the pumpkin patch last week. It was alot of fun! Got some good pictures of the girls. They are so stinking cute. Jade got stung by a bee when we were there. But it didn't ruin anyones fun. She still had a blast.
That's about the run down for now. I'm beat and it's definately bed time!!

I'm going to try to be better about blogging more often! And include some pictures next time!

Not Me Monday!

This week I did not study for my anatomy final. And i most certainly did not put it off until the weekend where I did not have to take my youngest daughter to the hospital. I did not have to wake her up to go, and I did not forget her shoes. She most certainly was not wearing a tshirt and panties over a diaper into the hospital at 9 on a Sunday night! Then, i did not let her walk around on grubby hospital floors. After all, she might get swine flu. I most certainly did not bring her home only to wash her off with baby wipes and put her back in bed after a long night.

And I did not open up my psychology final today only to find out that she added another chapter to it that i did not study for (no really I didn't study for it!!). I did not just make semi educated guesses and cross my fingers and hope I got the right answers!

Tomorrow is not my last final for the semester, and I am not at all excited that it will be OVER for this semester after 12 tomorrow! (GRIN!)

Updates on Everything...

Jade FINALLY got TUBES, and her adnoids out. We went in Wednesday morning at 7:45 (we weren't really supposed to be there til 8:30)... They went ahead and took us back. And we waited, and waited, and waited some more. There was a play room there for the kids (thank goodness) and little cars and wagons for them to ride the halls with. Macy picked out a nice little car, and decided the ONLY way to go was backwards.. and in a circle.. well, There are nurses LINING the halls with little rolling trays with computers on them and nurses and drs trying to get in and out of rooms and patients being taken to and back from surgery. So, I am trying to contain Macy and keep her from running someone over.. She would go forward a second and I would think I was ok and all the sudden BAM there goes me toe.. she decided backwards was the only way to go... BUt anyways back to Jade.. they finally took her back to surgery around 10 or so.. about 25 min later the dr comes out and tells us Jade did great and her adnoids were really swollen before he cut them out.. and that Jade would be back to the room in "just a minute". Well, I wait, and I wait, and 20 min later the nurse comes and gets her bed so she can bring jade back. And I wait and I wait and another 25 min goes by and I am getting panicky... Well, they FINALLY bring Jade back and come to find out, when she woke up she had Croup. So they gaver her a breathing treatment before they would let her leave recovery. Really nice of them to let me know huh? They are lucky I didnt' go busting back there to find my baby! Well, once she got back to the room and sipped a little sprite and took about 4 licks of her popcicle, they let her go home. We were back home by 1!! She was a grumpy grumpy girl for quite a while. but she was up and playing a few hours later. She is up and at em. Still complains of sore throat but that will pass I'm sure in the next day or 2.
As far as everything else, I think we are on the way to recovery and something else happens. Macy has started having shuddering spells again along with some really weird symptoms. Exactly a week ago, we had been playing outside, and everything was great! It was nice outside and so I was letting them play in the water.. I start to notice macy's little face and body getting extremely red... so I went and checked her. Her skin was EXTREMELY hot to the touch.. so I call time to go in and we go inside. I stripped her down to her diaper and gave her some juice. I cooked dinner, and she ate, and then it was bathtime(about an hour after we came in). She was STILL hot to the touch. So after her bath, i was trying to dry her off and talking to Jade and all the sudden I hear macy's teeth slam together (almost like chattering teeth but not really) I look at her, and she is not breathing and she is shaking (like shivering but ALOT harder). It lasts about 30 seconds, and it's gone just as quickly as it came. Well, I watch her for a little while, and then I put her to bed thinking it was just another shuddering spell.. Just a worse one.. That night, she had 5 more shuddering spells. Each one woke her up.. and when she woke up she was crying a cry that did not belong to my baby.. it was very weak and sounded very wrong. When I would go to pick her up, she was VERY confused... like she didnt' know where she was and was very hard to calm down. I also noticed that she was having a hard time getting her bottle to her mouth.. She had just learned to put her shoes on about 3 weeks ago. The morning after her spells, she could no longer put her shoes on and had alot of coordination issues. She dropped things and had a hard time with things she was good at. She fell down alot.. thing just were not right. So I called the dr. They told me to call on Monday morning and bring her in. Well, I call monday morning and they tell me the first appt I can get is Wed. Crap. Thats the day of Jade's surgery.. wont' work. So i get an appt for Friday. I make it. Then, Crap. Thats the day of my math final. I can't make it in time. So I called back and switched it. Her appt is this Wed. But, now all her symptoms are going away. She is still VERY sensitive to heat. She doesnt' handle it well, and DOES. NOT. SWEAT. She gets extremely hot to the touch and it takes her forever to cool down. She gets hot like that at times when she shouldn't really be that hot. we played outside in the shade with the wind blowing a couple days ago and it was quite cool outside. We were out about 20 min and when we came back inside, guess what.. hot to the touch... really hot. i check Jade, nothing.. she was still just fine..So, we had popcicles.
Does this EVER end? We have been dealing with sickness since December!! If it's not one thing it's another! We can't get rid of stuff. It's been ears with jade since then, and Macy has had ears and a cough since then. And when we finally changed drs, guess what.. RESULTS! :) We got over the battles we had been fighting for 5 months and now it's on to something new I guess.
Well, thats about it for now. Hopefully we will have good news with mace at the dr on Wed. I will post some new pics soon.. After my camera gets charged and I have time to upload pictures.
OH... I had my math final today... I MADE AN 87.50!!! AND an 86 in the class for the semester!! THAT IS HUGE!! I am math dummy... I worked my butt off for that B!! I have been so excited! it was a hard earned B.. especially since I am SO BAD at math!
OK ok.. I'm really off for the night. I'm beat. Been a long day!!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY SWEETHEART! 1 year and counting...

Busy Busy!!

As I sit here amongst my mountain of homework and studying, I decided I should take a break and update my blog!! I just finished one final!! My first aid class is officially over as of TOMORROW morning as soon as I take my first aid test and turn in my final!! That means only 4 more finals(psychology, bio 202 final, bio 202 lab final, and math) to go!!!! I can't wait!! I can finally see the end of the semester!! It's so close I can almost taste it and can almost feel the sun on my face and the sand beneath my toes!!



Jade is having surgery next Wed, April 29!!! She is having tubes put in her ears and her adnoids taken out!! We are so ready for this... she has been so sick for so long and needs this so badly!! Hopefully this will be the end to all or most of the sickness!! Please keep her in your prayers!!
I went to pick her up yesterday from her Mama Shirleys after school since I couldn't make it in time to pick her up from school myself, and to my suprise when i picked her up she had gained a new piece of clothing. I should have taken a picture! She looked absolutely ridiculous, but i was so embarrassed I didn't think to take a picture! I had dressed her yesterday morning in her chocolate brown Hannah Montanna shirt with some black leggings. When I picked her up at Mama Shirley's she had a BRIGHT red spaghetti strap tank top on over her shirt I had put on her this morning! Of course I asked her why she did that and if her Nana let her leave the house dressed like that to which I was informed she took it to school in her back pack and had put the shirt on there over her other one! So i guess now I will have to start checking her backpack before school! I can't believe she walked around school like that all day yesterday and NO ONE bothered to tell her she looked absolutely ridiculous! What a funny girl!



Macy is such a funny little girl lately. Her favorite words this week are "Beee Peesh!" (read please) She loves being read to. She is learning her colors. She likes "Wewwow" and "puhpuh" (yellow and purple) the best. Everything is yellow and purple to her!! She has been extremely whiny this week, I think because of her ears.. I'm thinking another doctor visit will happen by Monday. she will be done with her antibiotic on Friday and if it's not better by then we will be back at the doctors office I have a feeling! she is so much fun lately though.. always doing something new, mimicking us. She is such a joy to be around.



This past weekend, my best friend Stephanie and her boyfriend Ryan came to see me and the girls! I had an absolute blast and am so glad she got to come down! I have missed her so much and Jade has missed her Aunt Stephanie as well! I so wished we lived closer so that we could spend more time together like we used to. I'm SO GLAD i got to see her this weekend!

Conversations With A 1 Year Old...

Today after arriving home from school, I was holding Macy and getting some cuddle time in before time to get jade from school. She got really really warm in the diaper area all the sudden (all you mommies know what that means!)... Here was our conversation about it:

Me: Macy are you tee teeing?
Macy: no
Me: Macy, is your diaper getting wet?
Macy: yes
Me: so are you tee teeing in your diaper:
Macy: no
Me: then who is?
Macy: Alle!!

If you dont' know, Alle is Macy speak for Allen!
I almost choked I was laughing so hard.. She is just 1 and already she is blaming someone else for what she does!!

What a long day this has been. In all the madness, it made me think of how thankful I am to have the exact 2 kids I have. Through all the crying and whining and messes, the day I just spent watching other peoples kids makes me that much more thankful for my own.

Macy is my little cutie pie these days... She adds new words every day.

*She loves her stuffed "elpie" (elephant)
*She now informs me when she is "skinkie" (stinkie) and adds a UGH at the end!! (she hears me talk entirely too much!! )
*She loves for me to sing to her.. (jade never liked my singing) Macy is the only one who appreciates my singing.
*"Momm-ay" is still her favorite person (GRIN!)
*"Alle" (Allen) is still a very close second. and for some reason she looks for him in the mornings most every morning. She always looks out the window and asks "Alle?" every morning.
She is faster than lightening and into everything!!
* if off her normal routine, it could very well be disaterous!
* her snakes hiss like cats.. and she uses the same noise to say "shh"
* her cows just say "mmmm"
*her ducks "Kack"
* her cats "manow"
* and her new favorite words are "no no" and she sounds like such a big girl.
* she loves her "DAAAADE" (Jade - and yes she screams her name... EVERY TIME)... she asks for jade all day til she comes home from school

Jade is such a smart little girl
* She can count to a thousand if i would let her...
* She can read and has been for 2 years, but she is really good at it now!!
* She asks a million questions a day!
* She is getting real artsy fartsy on me! She LOVES to color and play with clay (play doh is the devil.. such a mess!!)and paint and draw.. and whatever else i would let her do!!
* Light brights are the perfect thing for when she is tired and ill and needs some alone time
* she is 6!!
* she still says "Firsht" (for first) and "Pursh" (for purse).. and i realized today how much I will miss that when she is older!
* she still has her baby lisp...
*glip gloss (lip gloss) makes her day..
* she says overalls make her look like a warthog. (but i still make her wear them cause they are so darn cute on her!)
* she is SASSY
*ranch dressing is a must on EVERYTHING as far as she is concerned

I am so very thankful for my kids.. we have had alot of trying days here lately, and days where my nerves are absolutely shot.. but then i remember all of this stuff.. and i just love them that mucch more!! I have the two most absolutely gorgeous amazing little girls that are on the planet!

I pretty much must be the luckiest girl alive.. 2 amazing kids, and the most amazing boyfriend.. I love them all so much!! I LOVE my life.. :)

no windshield wipers and lots of rain...

Not too much going on lately. My windshield wipers in my car died. Completely. They swooshed the last swipe. I'm currently waiting on the place to find the right part for it. It could be a week or so before it can be fixed depending on when they can find the part. So until then, i'm off the roads when it's raining. And it's supposed to rain BOTH days i have school this week! What luck!

Macy is just as rotten as ever. She has added a new word. "Elphie" which means elephant. It's really cute. Yesterday after church on the way home she was saying the names of her little friends... "Abbi" (Addi) and "Emmie" (Emerson & miss emilee)... She got woken up early this morning so I could take my car to the shop, and in return, she was an ill pill all day long. She is one that definately needs her sleep. if she doesn't get it - watch out!

Jade is doing really well in school for the past week! We have gotten all smiley faces for 10 days in a row!!! I am SO PROUD of her!! We have had an extremely rough year with her. She has had one ear infection after the other, her hearing has been really bad. Next Monday is her appt with her new pediatrician. Then the next Thursday is her ENT appt!!! I absolutely can't wait! She has been dealing with this for WAY too long, and is allergic to almost every medication they can give her for an ear infection. there is only ONE medicine she can take. She has had it so much, it's not working very well anymore, which has resulted in her ear drum bursting, and massive amounts of fluid on her ears for the past 4 months. We are PRAYING that they put tubes in her ears VERY SOON!!

I am officially off of spring break, and kicked it off by taking a psychology exam bright and early today.. that i completely forgot to study for!! The rest of my classes start back tomorrow. Fun fun. I am so ready to get school behind me.. I'm ready for life after school and to see what is in store for me and the kids.

11 Months! :)

Today marks 11 months that Allen and I have been together. So, I figured I should brag on him a min... I don't know what I have ever done to deserve such a wonderful, amazing man - but I'm sure glad he is mine!!! It so doesn't seem like it has been this long... time sure does fly. I could go on for days about how much he means to me and about how amazing he is, but i'll save that for a month from now! :)
I LOVE YOU SWEETHEART! You are the biggest blessing in my life, and I am so thankful for you! Happy 11 months... hopefully many many more to come :) I love you! :)

What A Day!

Well, last assignment has been done for the week, and no more school til week after next!! Woo hoo! I actually got to take Jade and Macy to the park today after the disastrous trip to go shoe shopping. I'm trying to pick out shoes and next thing you know, my kids are jumping off of benches and running around and pulling boxes off the shelves... I seriously had to check myself. We went straight to the car and I couldn't even talk to them for quite a few minutes. But, after getting some lunch and out of the shoe stores, they straightened up and we got to go to the park. they had a good time.. or seemed to.
We were hoping to go to the mcwane center tomorrow, but looks like that will have to be another day. Macy's ear is draining this afternoon... so i'm just waiting on the fever and pain to set in... poor baby. it seems like we can never catch a break!!! Instead we will grill out, and i will try to get my hands on a copy of twilight!! I want to see it so bad... i'm sure it can do the books NO justice... The books were so amazing... and i actually have a boyfriend who has agreed to watch it with me!!! :) How lucky am i??? :) I'm reading the books for the 4th time now!! :) so i guess it's past time for me to see the movie!! :)
I'm SO GLAD to be out of school for the next week!! I'm going to enjoy the spare time! :)

Is it spring break for me yet?

SERIOUSLY! I need a break! I feel like my brain could possibly explode any minute. Jade is out on spring break this week... I am not. I am studying for an anatomy exam, writing a psychology discussion, and a psychology paper, math homework, AND studying for my first aid class.. WOW. It's so overwhelming at times. Especially when I have a 6 year old talking constantly in my ear at all times. I love her, but geez the child never shuts up, which means that I get no study time til AFTER she goes to bed at 9!! I'm so ready for my break this next week! I did make an 88 on my lab midterm! THANK GOD!! With both of my kids being sick the whole first half of the semester i was running off steam there at the end. I was getting only about 3 hours of sleep a night and i didn't have but 1 day to study for this exam. Thank God I did as well as I did. I wish it would hav ebeen an A, but I'll take the B!!
Jade has her audiologist appointment tomorrow!! Hopefully we will get good news! I hope! Then, it will be home to finish up dinner and study tomorrow night with Allen. I always feel so bad because if he comes during the week, we never get to just sit and enjoy one another. It is always taken up with my school work. He has the wonderful job of helping me with Anatomy vocabulary.. he loves flashcards... NOT... But he is such a good sport about it! He never complains and he comes over every week to help me with it! He has been one of the only things that has kept me sane the past 2 semesters. He is always cheering me on, and encouraging me even when i think i'm losing it and am as frustrated as I can get. He is such a big help with my girls and he just goes over and beyond to help us out. Sometimes it makes me feel so bad, because I can't do the same for him. (I say that while typing on my new computer- thanks to Allen so I could do my school work after my computer crapped out on me).
I never in a million years would have imagined God placing someone in my life that is as wonderful as he is. He never ceases to amaze me. And I am so looking forward to our life together (after I get out of school). He has been so wonderful to me and my girls. I am SO thankful for him!!
Macy is doing really well with her sleeping and no bottles!! She didn't even fuss at all for a bottle today!! AND she slept ALL night last night.. for the FIRST TIME since December 1!!! I am SO excited! Hopefully we will have many more nights that are filled with sleep...and not so much sitting up with a crying baby!
I do have to brag on Jade a little bit too. She can be so sweet at times. Tonight I was trying to make flashcards and she was talking my ear off as usual, so I told her she had to hush so I could think. Well, she decided that she was going to be my helper and give me the cards as I needed them to fill out. It was a really sweet gesture. She sat so patiently and waited for me to finish one and decide what i needed on the next.
Well, thats about all i got for tonight. Its just about bed time for me!! I'll try to post some new pictures later. I still need to load the program I need on my computer to get the pics from my camera to my computer. I'm getting there slowly but surely!!

Ok.. new to this.. but i decided since most everyone is on the blogging bandwagon, i better jump on too!! :)
Jade is now 6 years old!! Where did the time go? She in in Kindergarten, reading, and writing. She is so smart..
Macy is 20 months old! She is running and talking some... She is my stubborn child.. most definately. She is a climber.. and there is no stopping her.
Allen and I have been together almost a year!! He is the most wonderful man I could have ever imagined! :) I love him sooo very much and can't wait to see what the future holds for us.
I am in school full time at the moment. Hoping to transfer to Wallace within the next 2 semesters. I plan to be a nurse... or something like that!! You never know where life will take you...
We are officially on day 1 of "bye bye bottles"!! We gave them to the trash can last night and went and bought Macy big girl cups. So far, she is doing really well. At naptime, instead of her usual bottle while watching cartoons upstairs and cuddling with Mommy, we decided to do soemthing different since she wasn't interested in her cup. We went to Macy's room and sat in the chair, and picked out a book from her shelf and sat down and read a book to take her mind off of not having her bottle. She was perfectly happy drinking out of her new sippy cup and looking at the pictures and listening to me read her book! She has been asleep for a total of 2 and 1/2 hours now.. and is STILL SLEEPING! WOW! Who would have guessed it would work that well??
Not too much else going on in our little world as of now.. I will blog again soon.. until then.. i must get to studying!!
